Hommage to Land Art
Cala Sisine, Sardinia, 2008

This ephemeral intervention consists of a trail of stones, tinted blue using edible dye, arranged along a cliffside. The path follows the natural veins of the rock, echoing its rhythm and forming a harmonious line through the rugged landscape. It is both a gesture of reverence to nature’s design and a quiet act of human presence.

The work is inspired by the legacy of Land Art, in particular the practice of Richard Long, whose walks transform into minimal, poetic marks in nature. It also draws from the meditative walking of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, for whom each step is an act of mindfulness • an invitation to inhabit the present moment fully, with awareness and calm.

Walking teaches us that every climb is also the beginning of a new descent.
